Meet the Team

Charles V. Lindsey PhD, LPC

For over 25 years, Charles has had the privilege and opportunity to serve in a number of different capacities as both a therapist, and as clinical professor focusing on the training and supervision of emerging therapists.  Charles considers himself to be a “lifespan therapist”, with experience and passion for working with people across the human lifespan (from children and adolescents through individuals in later adulthood).  Charles is also grateful for having the opportunity over the years to work with clients from a diversity of worldviews, lived experiences, identities, and social contexts. Charles has extensive experience working in the areas of grief and loss, developmental and lifespan transitions, crisis and trauma, mood and anxiety challenges, and with individuals identifying as neurodivergent.

With a relational approach being primary, Charles also infuses training and experience in Mindfulness-Based interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths-Based Motivational Interviewing, Crisis and Trauma approaches, and Experiential Therapy.  Charles has also coached soccer and futsal (youth through high school) for over 15 years, and has broad experience in the area of Sports Performance and Athlete-Focused Counseling.  Charles is the proud dad of two Golden Retrievers (Baylee and Sunny); if desired, animal-assisted therapy may also be discussed and accommodated for sessions at our clinic location.

Charles offers an approach that serves to cultivate a safe and trusting environment, empowering clients to realize their full potential and progress intentionally toward goals that they envision for themselves.  Charles works collaboratively with clients and families - partnering to establish a therapeutic space where clients are recognized holistically and supported in navigating paths towards greater wellness, meaning, functioning, and self-compassion.  Charles looks forward to the privilege of joining and collaborating with you on your journey.
