Meet the Team
Liz Light MS, LMFT
Liz (she/her) works with adults navigating challenging relationships, attachment concerns, trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, life changes, and identity exploration. Liz views clients and their experiences through a systemic lens, meaning she considers internal and external systems as playing integral roles in the origin(s) and persistence of symptoms. Liz is LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming and works with clients of all backgrounds, cultures, bodies, and identities.
Liz integrates various approaches into her practice including mindfulness-based therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Liz enjoys supporting practice of mindfulness- and communication-based skills in-session so that clients can build confidence and respond to a full range of life experiences with resourcefulness and compassion. Liz is a visual person and enjoys co-creating tools, maps, and art with clients to support grounding, insight, processing, and healing.
Liz supports people hoping to shift ways of being that have organized around outdated narratives, systems, and ways of surviving trauma that no longer serve them adaptively. Liz values building authentic and trusting relationships with clients so that exploring the nuance, depth, and richness of “what is” feels safe and possible.
