Meet the Team

Amy Weidert, MS, LPC

Life doesn't always unfold the way we expect it to. I believe healing begins when you have the space to slow down, feel safe, and be fully yourself.

I support adults navigating anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, relationship challenges, and major life changes. I especially enjoy working with young adults as they move through transitions such as college, career decisions, relationships, and discovering who they want to become. Together, we'll create a space to better understand yourself, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach combines traditional talk therapy with mindfulness and body-based (somatic) practices. I believe meaningful healing happens when we pay attention to both our thoughts and our nervous system. My work is informed by Somatic Experiencing®, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and Motivational Interviewing.

Before entering private practice, I spent many years supporting middle and high school students and families in public education. I also taught as an adjunct professor in a graduate counseling program, where I enjoyed mentoring future therapists and staying connected to the evolving field of counseling.

My own experience with divorce, along with my professional work in mediation and co-parenting, has deepened my understanding of the complexity of relationships and the challenges that come with major life changes. I bring compassion and curiosity to supporting clients through endings, new beginnings, and times of uncertainty and change.

In addition to ongoing therapy, I offer Single Session Therapy—focused support for those seeking clarity around a specific concern, decision, or life challenge. This unique option can be a helpful first step for those curious about therapy or looking for support around a particular situation.

Clients often describe my style as warm, thoughtful, and down-to-earth. I value creating a collaborative space where you can show up as your authentic self and feel supported without judgment. Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time outdoors, traveling, cooking, gardening, and listening to live music.

Reaching out for therapy is a courageous step, and I'm honored to walk alongside people as they reconnect with themselves and create meaningful change.
